POLLY DK: Approximately 100g/246 yards superwash Polwarth wool. This is a 4-ply DK weight yarn. This listing is for 8 hanks.

These were kettle-dyed a tonal pumpkin and gold with brownish-purple undertones and washes of rust. There are occasional specks of dark brown, orange, yellow and red. Note that while the colours are shared, each hank is unique. Please alternate hanks if using more than one. Note that the picture is of a different base but accurately represents the colourway.

A lot of smoosh with a bit of extra sheen and “crispness” this is a great all-purpose DK base. It is not as soft as Merino and a little more toothy. From shawls and winter accessories to sweaters and baby blankets - take your pick - they all are perfectly suited.

While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture and maximum gorgeousness.

Beautiful Bittersweet!

Absolutely PERFECT dyed-to-order request!
Laura is fantastic to work with :D After receiving my request, she reached out to discuss her DK yarn bases. And lemme tell you, Laura knows her stuff ;)) The Polwarth "grip" of the Polly base is going to work superbly well in the colorwork sweater that I have planned.
The Bittersweet colorway is exactly what I expected (and wanted!) from Laura, as well. There's a lovely layering of colors at work here, adding incredible depth while also being subtle enough to play nice with my colorwork plans. Amazing!
