BLUEBELLE Fingering: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool. This is a fine, strong four-plied fingering/sock weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a tonal golden yellow with light blonde to pale tawny brown areas with some yellow spots. There is a very small amount of fuzzy brown speckling on each hank. They are tonal and slightly variegated and should be alternated if more than one is used. The photos are of a different base but reasonably depicts the colourway.
This BFL is soft and just a little plump, with all the known and desired qualities of the fibre: hard-wearing, tends not to pill, appears almost luminescent and continues to soften over time. This spin is airy and slightly crisp, with generous yardage for shawls, accessories and garments.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture and maximum gorgeousness.
