ZEBRYLON 80/20: Approximately 100g/438yds 80/20 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is a fun fingering/sock base, a 2-ply spin with portions in black wool, for a barber pole or marled effect along the yardage.
These were dyed using specklng only with pretty much all my medium to light greens. They are uneven and inconsistent and there is a lot of white as well as bleed-through. Note that these are highly variegated and hanks from the same batch may be quite different in both intensity and tone even though they all share the same colours. Two socks knit from the same hank will not be identical.
This is a squishy, smooshy (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. With the tight, 2-ply twist and nylon content, it’s great for socks and the black/grey in the base offers interesting pooling. It’s surprisingly soft and plain fun to knit with.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
