MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal grey and speckled with purple, brown, yellow, red and gold. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. Two socks knit with the same hank will not be identical. Please alternate hanks if using more than one. Note the photos are of a different base but accurately depict the colourway.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
