MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, soft four-ply base.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal grey and speckled with purple, brown, yellow, red and gold. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. These more randomly dyed colourways vary from batch to batch and from hank to hank within a batch. Note the picture is of a different base but accurately depicts the colourway.
This base is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
