ZEBRYLON 80/20: Approximately 100g/438yds 80/20 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is a fun fingering/sock base, a 2-ply spin with portions in black wool, for a barber pole or marled effect along the yardage.
These were kettle-dyed a VERY bright, VERY intense, slightly tonal yellow-green base using yellow, chartreuse, lime, gold and avocado. This is the colour of Venomous prior to speckling. The base is marled black and grey with the white prior to dyeing.
This is a squishy, smooshy (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. With the tight, 2-ply twist and nylon content, it’s great for socks and the black/grey in the base offers interesting pooling. It’s surprisingly soft and plain fun to knit with.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
