BLUEBEL 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool/nylon, 4 plies.
These were kettle-dyed a tonal medium neutral grey and speckled with red, scarlet, chestnut, cinnamon, rust and orange. The hanks were twisted prior to speckling so coverage is relatively consistent. Regardless, this is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. Two socks knit with the same hank may not be identical. Please alternate hanks if using more than one. Additional photos are of a different bases to illustrate the colourway.
This plump, shiny and tough (!) yarn is great just about any fine fingering weight project. It is perfect for socks, accessories and baby garments and with its drape and generous yardage, it’s ideal for shawls. Note that it is BFL and not quite as soft and smooshy as Merino - some with sensitivities may not like it next-to-skin.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
