MERINOH! SPORT: Approximately 100g/328 yards of superwash Merino wool. This is a 3-ply sport weight yarn, a great mid-point between fingering and DK.
These were kettle-dyed a base of bright yellow-green then washed with chestnut, brown and black for a mottled effect. Finally, they were speckled with navy, purple, pink, gold and turquoise. The speckles are subtle on the dark background and there is a definite khaki/gold/caramel undertone that may not be fully showing in the pictures. Please alternate hanks if using more than one.
This is a soft and plump yarn with a great twist and nice stitch definition. It would be excellent for just about any knit or crocheted item to be worn next to your skin.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
