MERINOH! 2-Ply: Approximately 115g/420 yards superwash merino wool. This is a 2- ply fingering weight yarn and it’s unbelievably soft at 17 microns.
These were first kettle-dyed in a mottled fashion with pale silver-grey then with pale tan-brown. They were finished with twisting and a light speckling with caramel brown, mustard and grey. They are variegated and each hank is unique though all share the same colours. Please alternate hanks if using more than one.
This two-ply fingering yarn is smooth, VERY soft and satiny, providing great stitch definition. With only two plies it gives an almost pebbly-looking stockinette fabric. Great for baby wear, sweaters and accessories, it blocks well and is suitable for lacy and cabled projects, too - though it wouldn’t be my first choice for socks.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
