PACABELLA FINGERING: Approximately 100g/438 yards 70/30 Baby Alpaca/silk. This is a 4-ply fingering weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a tonal warm grey then speckled with ochre yellow, rust, copper and warm brown. This is a variegated colourway and while the colours are shared, each hank is unique. Please alternate hanks if using more than one. Note: photos are of a few bases to show variations.
Soft, shiny and gorgeous! Baby alpaca and mulberry silk combined in a beautiful, dense fingering base with sheen from the silk and a slight halo from the alpaca. It’s warm, soft and strong - a round string with very little “smoosh” but loads of slink and drape. Note that alpaca bases tend to be just a little less saturated colour-wise and produce a fabric with little memory.
Please hand wash in cool water and air dry flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
