MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were dyed using speckling only with purple, pink, brown, yellow, red and gold. The hanks are twisted prior to speckling so coverage is fairly consistent and there are a lot of undyed areas as well as some mild bleed-through. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. Two socks knit from the same hank will not be identical. This is basically Up to No Good or Looking For A Place to Happen with no underlying grey or brown colour.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
