MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were kettle dyed a base of bright yellow-green then washed with chestnut, brown and black for a lightly mottled/tonal effect. There is a definite khaki/gold/caramel undertone which may not show up well in pictures. It’s a lovely dark bronze colour. Note that different bases are pictured to show variations.
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour, texture and maximum gorgeousness.
