MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were kettle-dyed with washes of red, fuchsia, coppery brown and navy blue with the yarn crowded in the pot so it’s mottled and variegated. Finally, they were glazed in a big twist with a dark blue-black wash. I used the same colours as Bluebeard at Night but a totally different method. Note that these hanks share the same colours but that they are all slightly different so you may want to alternate hanks if used together.
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
