MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were kettle-dyed a tonal gold then washed with rust, orange, tawny brown and dark brown, all with a little bit of hazy speckling of orange and brown. Finer yarn like fingering tends to have more tonality as the fibres are more crowded in the pot. Some hanks have slightly lighter areas - please alternate hanks for the most even colour. Different bases and batches are pictured.
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
