MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were first kettle-dyed a tonal blush/tan and then generously speckled with gold, rust, orange, copper and a bit of red. Finally, each hank has at least 2 spots of cobalt/violet. They are quite variegated and each hank is unique though all share the same colours. There’s bleed-through and bleeding of speckles.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum
