MERINOH! DK ULTRAFINE: Approximately 100g/243 yards superwash Merino wool. This is a 3-ply DK weight yarn (17 micron / ultra fine). Note that it is a slightly different base than my previous one, which will be phased out. This variation is ultrafine, softer than my regular DK.
These were kettle-dyed using consecutive washes of chartreuse, maroon, purple, brown and green. There are a very small amount of brown, pink and green speckles. It’s a difficult colour to pin down - it’s predominantly smoky purple but it’s green, red and brown, too... Note that this is a tonal/variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. Different bases/batches are pictured but reasonably represent the colourway.
This is an amazingly soft DK weight merino - lofty and smooshy with a nice twist, it is absolutely lovely and would be perfect for winter accessories, sweater or a large shawl or cape.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
