MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal pale golden caramel and speckled with gold, copper, rust, turquoise, violet and navy. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. This is a variegated colourway and though the hanks all share the same colours, each is unique. Two socks knit from the same hank will not be identical.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
