MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal lime/chartreuse/avocado and speckled with yellow, gold, green, orange, fuchsia-purple and hot pink. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. They are highly variegated and should be alternated if more than one is used. Two socks knit with the same hank won’t be identical. These more randomly dyed colourways vary from batch to batch and from hank to hank within a batch.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
