PACABEL: Approximately 100g/437yds 60/20/20 superwash Merino/alpaca/nylon.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal light turquoise and speckled with gold, rust, caramel brown, green, violet and pink. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. They are highly variegated and should be alternated if more than one is used. These more randomly-dyed colourways vary from batch to batch and from hank to hank within a batch. Two socks knit from the same hank will not be identical. Note that the picture is of a different base but accurately depicts the colourway. For the most part this is a paler version of Guitars, Cadillacs with a few specks of pink added.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough) 4-ply yarn - plump and round with the usual alpaca halo and hairs. It's great for just about any fingering weight project and will result in lofty, warm winter accessories and garments. If you knit socks, tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
