KIDMO MERINOH! Singles: Approximately 100g/395yds, 56/44 superwash extrafine Merino wool/superkid mohair. This is fingering weight yarn; a fine, dense singles base.
These were first space-dyed a mottled mix of black, brown, navy and green then speckled with yellow, orange, teal, brown and violet. Finally a small strip of intense cherry red was added. This yarn may stripe, flash or pool depending on the garment being knit. NOTE that while all the hanks share the same colours this is a HIGHLY VARIEGATED colourway and each is UNIQUE - they are very mottled and some are lighter/darker. All in all, very fun to knit! The photos are for different bases but reasonably portray the colourway.
This is a sweet merino/mohair base - very soft and pearly lustrous. It’s a heavy-ish fingering weight; knitting as if with a sport base allows it to bloom and creates a lighter fabric whereas used as a fingering base it’s soft, dense and very warm. The mohair content is obvious in this base and like all singles it may pill with wear. This would be divine in any winter accessory, shawl, cape, sweater - you name it! About the only thing I’d avoid is socks, due to its construction.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain maximum gorgeousness.
