MERYLON 75/25: approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were kettle-dyed a deep charcoal/iron grey, black-ish, slightly tonal, and have a small amount of rust, brown and black speckling. They tend toward the cooler side of grey but to me look fairly neutral. With the speckling they’d go nicely with a warm grey, too (Back Deck or Charred). This is like a very dark Rusty Bucket.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
