BLUEBEL 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool/nylon in a 4 ply put-up.
These were kettle-dyed a deep charcoal/iron grey, black-ish, slightly tonal, and have a small amount of rust, brown and black speckling. They tend toward the cooler side of grey but to me look fairly neutral. With the speckling they’d go nicely with a warm grey, too (Back Deck or Charred). This is like a very dark Rusty Bucket. Note that different bases may be pictured but they accurately represent the colourway.
This plump, shiny and tough (!) yarn is great just about any fine fingering weight project. It is perfect for socks, accessories and baby garments and with its drape and generous yardage, it's ideal for shawls. Note that it is BFL and not quite as soft and smooshy as Merino - some with sensitivities may not like it next-to-skin.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
