MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438yds superwash Merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal greyish navy blue and speckled with turquoise, teal, green, yellow, violet and ochre. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. Please alternate hanks if using more than one. Note that different bases are shown to illustrate variances but illustrate the overall look of the colourway.
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
