MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were kettle dyed, crowded in the pot for a mottled effect, with washes of navy blue then forest green then dilute brown-black. Finally, they were speckled through the water with green, blue and grey. This is a variegated colourway and while all hanks share the same colours, each is unique. Please alternate hanks if using more than one. Note that a different base is also pictured but accurately depicts the colourway.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
