MERIYAK LUX: Approximately 100g/438 yards 65/20/15 superwash Merino wool/silk/yak. This is a luxurious 3-ply fingering weight yarn, medium-grey/brown when it’s undyed.
These were kettle-dyed with washes of teal, green, spruce and navy, speckled a little bit with teal, chartreuse and grey at the very end. This is a tonal, slightly variegated colourway and each hank and batch is a little different. Two socks knit with the same hank may not be identical. Please alternate if using more than one for the most uniform result. The overall colourway is a bit warmer and darker because of the initial base colour - very dramatic and beautiful!
This is a buttery soft, truly sumptuous yarn with great stitch definition, which makes just about any project extra-gorgeous. It’s wonderful next-to-skin and it has lovely smoosh, drape and is silky soft and shiny. The base is medium-grey-brown to begin with so colourways dye a little darker and deeper than on ivory bases.
Despite its superwash designation, PLEASE hand wash in cool water and air dry flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
