MERINOH! WORSTED: Approximately 115g/210 yards/192 meters superwash Merino wool. This is a 4-ply worsted weight yarn. This is a new base from a local mill which will be replacing my other worsted bases.
These were kettle-dyed a light tonal mocha brown then speckled with gold, caramel and a touch of pink. They are mottled and tonal and though they share the same colours each is unique. These more randomly dyed colourways vary from batch to batch and from hank to hank within a batch. Note the base pictured is different but accurately represents the colourway.
This is a lovely, sturdy base which would be excellent for just about any knit or crocheted item and is next-to-skin soft. I envision it as a cozy hat or scrunchy cowl, baby sweater or big cardigan - you?
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
