MERIBELLA 75/25 Fingering: Approximately 100g/437 yards 75/25 superwash ultrafine Merino wool/silk, a luxurious 4 ply fingering yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a deep charcoal/iron grey, black-ish, slightly tonal, and have a small amount of rust, brown and black speckling. They tend toward the cooler side of grey but to me look fairly neutral. With the speckling they’d go nicely with a warm grey, too (Back Deck or Charred or Rusty Bucket). Note that a different base is pictured but accurately depicts the colourway.
This is a sleek, soft, plied fingering yarn that appears to have a much higher silk content than it does thanks to the ultrafine Merino fibre. It’s slinky and positively decadent. It will make a lovely shawl, scarf or swingy cardi, but it would be good for just about anything fine-gauged, worn next to the skin. It has lovely drape and is silky soft and shiny.
Despite its superwash designation, please hand wash in cool water and air dry flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
