POLLY DK: Approximately 100g/246 yards superwash Polwarth wool. This is a 4-ply DK weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a VERY bright, VERY intense, slightly tonal yellow-green base using yellow, chartreuse, lime, gold and avocado. This is the colour of Venomous prior to speckling. Note that pictures of different bases are included to show variations.
A lot of smoosh with a bit of extra sheen and “crispness” this is a great all-purpose DK base. It is not as soft as Merino, a little more toothy and dense but it wears very well. From shawls and winter accessories to sweaters and baby blankets - take your pick - they all are perfectly suited. I envision it as a cozy hat or scrunchy cowl, baby sweater or big cardigan - you?
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
