MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were dyed using speckling only with yellow, caramel, mustard, avocado, deep green, purple and a touch of navy. The hanks are twisted prior to speckling so coverage is fairly consistent but there are some undyed areas as well as lots of bleed-through. This is a highly variegated, speckle-only colourway and each hank is different. Please alternate if using more than one in a garment. Note that different bases are pictured to show variations. Two socks knit from the same hank will not be identical.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
