MERINOH! SPORT: Approximately 100g/328 yards of superwash Merino wool. This is a 4-ply sport weight yarn, a great mid-point between fingering and DK.
These were kettle-dyed first with a wash of mottled green with a bit of green speckling then brown with a bit of brown speckling and a final wash of black. Grey-green with brown undertones. A little speckling with caramel, rust and mustard was added at the end. They are tonal and slightly variegated and should be alternated if more than one is used if you want a uniform fabric. Note that the pictures are of different bases but accurately represent the colourway.
This is an incredibly SOFT and smooshy yarn with a fine hand and nice stitch definition. It would be excellent for just about any knit or crocheted item to be worn next to your skin. Hats, sweaters, shawls, scarves, baby clothes…
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
