MERINOH! SINGLES: Approximately 115g/465yards superwash Merino wool. This is a single-ply light fingering weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a grey-green then speckled with copper-brown, gold, avocado, dark green, scarlet and a little yellow. There is a lot of scarlet in this batch! The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different as are subsequent batches. Alternate hanks for a more uniform colourway.
Simple and pretty - this is a lovely singles yarn which will develop a slight halo but hold nice stitch definition and drape. While it is not the absolute softest singles base I have tried (though it’s still plenty soft!), I like that it’s slightly denser with a tighter twist than some, and I find it knits into a very pleasing fabric.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
