MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were kettle-dyed pale tonal brown then washed with light tonal grey and finished with a light wash of pink. The result is a predominantly tonal grey with a bit of beige/brown variegation and a faint pink undertone in areas. It is pretty much exactly the colour of the sun-bleached boards on my back deck!
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture and maximum gorgeousness.
