MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were first kettle-dyed in a mottled fashion with pale silver-grey then with pale tan-brown. Both colours are quite pale. They were finished with twisting and a light speckling with caramel brown, mustard and grey. They are variegated and each hank is unique though all share the same colours. Please alternate hanks if using more than one.
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one. It’s excellent for shawls and sweaters.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
