MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile.
These were dyed using speckling only with basically all the pinks in my arsenal as well as a little red, yellow and gold. There is no base colour layer applied and any pink base tint is from bleed-through. It may be hard to see in pics but there is very bright pink in the speckles - almost fluorescent. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. If using more than one, please alternate. Speckle-dyed colourways vary from batch to batch and from hank to hank within a batch. Two socks knit from the same hank will be similar but not identical.
This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture and maximum gorgeousness.
