MERINOH! 4-Ply: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash merino wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.
These were kettle dyed a base of bright yellow-green then washed with chestnut, brown and black for a lightly mottled/tonal effect. There is a definite khaki/gold/caramel undertone which may not show up well in pictures. It’s a lovely dark bronze colour with strong green accents. Finally it’s speckled lightly with navy, turquoise, pink, purple and gold. Please alternate hanks if using more than one and yours like an evenly coloured fabric. Some other pictures of Medallion are also shown (This colourway is Medallion with speckles).
This is a lovely, soft, sturdy, tightly twisted yarn, slightly shiny and with good stitch definition. If you like the Merylon 75/25 fingering but want a pure Merino option, this is the one.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour, texture and maximum gorgeousness.
