BLUEBEL 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool/nylon, 4 plies.
These were kettle-dyed a very bright yellow-green then glazed inconsistently with a chestnut brown. They were speckled a little bit on a green area with hot pink, fuchsia, magenta and bright green. There are some dark brown splotches. They are variegated and each hank is unique, even from the same batch. Two socks knit with one hank will be similar but not identical. The colour reminds me of a Bosc pear. A few bases are pictured to show variations. Please alternate hanks if using more than one for a more consistent fabric.
This plump, shiny and tough (!) yarn is great just about any fine fingering weight project. It is perfect for socks, accessories and baby garments and with its drape and generous yardage, it’s ideal for shawls. Note that it is BFL and not quite as soft and smooshy as Merino - some with sensitivities may not like it next-to-skin.
While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
