BLUEBELLE DK: Approximately 115g/278 yards non-superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool. This is a tightly-spun, strong three-plied DK weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed pale tonal brown then washed with light tonal grey and finished with a light wash of pink. The result is a predominantly tonal grey with a bit of beige variegation and a faint pink undertone in areas. It is pretty much exactly the colour of the sun-bleached boards on my back deck! Note multiple bases are pictured to show variations.
This BFL is not lofty and "smooshy" like Merino. It is a bit rustic, hard-wearing, tends not to pill and softens over time. It is dense, shiny and crisp with excellent drape.
This yarn is NOT superwash treated, please hand wash and dry flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
