BLUEBEL 80/20: Approximately 115g/425yds 80/20 superwash Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool/nylon in a 3-ply put-up.
These were kettle-dyed a mottled tonal light turquoise and speckled with gold, rust, caramel brown, green, violet and pink. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. They are highly variegated and should be alternated if more than one is used. These more randomly-dyed colourways vary from batch to batch and from hank to hank within a batch. Two socks knit from the same hank will not be identical. Note that additional pictures of a different base are also included to show variations. For the most part this is a paler version of Guitars, Cadillacs with a few specks of pink added.
If you are a fan of BFL you'll love this base. Lovely, soft, plump, shiny and tough (!) and a bit rustic, this yarn is great for socks and just about any fingering weight project you can think of. Slightly beefier than the 75/25 bend, it is perfect for accessories and with its drape, results in beautiful shawls. Try it with a lacy pattern - you'll love the result.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
