PACABELLA FINGERING: Approximately 100g/438 yards 70/30 Baby Alpaca/silk. This is a 4-ply fingering weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a tonal rusty red-brown (it’s orange-ish brownish pinkish red-ish!) then speckled and splotched through the water with orange, red, brown and a few specks of violet. Due to the speckling no two hanks are the same. Please alternate if using more than one.
Soft, shiny and gorgeous! Baby alpaca and mulberry silk combined in a beautiful, dense fingering base with sheen from the silk and a slight halo from the alpaca. It’s warm, soft and strong - a round string with very little “smoosh” but loads of slink and drape. Note that alpaca bases tend to be just a little less saturated colour-wise and produce a fabric with little memory.
Please hand wash in cool water and air dry flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
