MERINOH! SINGLES: Approximately 115g/465yards superwash Merino wool. This is a single-ply light fingering weight yarn.
These were kettle-dyed a bright mottled pink/magenta/hot pink using all my bright pink dyes. Then they were speckled with fuchsia, hot pink, bordeaux, yellow, red, caramel and a bit of grey. The hanks are not twisted prior to speckling so coverage is more random. This is a highly variegated colourway and each hank is slightly different. Oink Ponk you ask? My two most common typos when I am writing “pink” ;)
Simple and pretty - this is a lovely singles yarn which will develop a slight halo but hold nice stitch definition and drape. While it is not the absolute softest singles base I have tried (though it’s still plenty soft!), I like that it’s slightly denser with a tighter twist than some, and I find it knits into a very pleasing fabric.
While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
