Crooked Kitchen?
Knit or try dyeing! It all started in my kitchen (which used to be quite crooked). I caught the dyeing bug using food colouring then moved to a little basement studio and professional acid dyes. I have loved yarn, knitting and colour for many years and dividing my free hours between knitting and dyeing is my biggest challenge - so much yarn, so little time... I dabble in designing patterns, too - all free and usually simple and useful. Please check them out on Rav or see details in links below.
Thank You for Visiting
NOTE THAT CANADA POST WORKERS ARE ON STRIKE. ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Thank you for coming to the Crooked Kitchen! ALL WHO WELCOME ALL ARE WELCOME HERE. I am new to this platform and there may be a few hiccups until I figure out all the tricks and fill in all the cracks. I have updated the main menu to show listings available for immediate shipping as well as all listings if you're just browsing. Please send me a note if you have any issues with your browsing and shopping experience. I appreciate your interest and patience.
Please leave a review. I have been selling yarn on Etsy for many years and I understand your hesitation when coming to a new site with no reviews. In many ways I am starting over - if you have feedback that would help other customers I would greatly appreciate you sharing your experience here. Thank you!
You will see sold-out listings posted. I don’t remove sold-out listings so you can see all available colourways. Use the "All Listings" menu to see old and ready to ship listings. If you like a colourway that’s not dyed or need it on a different base feel free to send me a message and I’ll get it set up for you.
Floof!
I can dye KidMoSilk Lace in pretty much any colourway. I also now have SuriSilk Lace available, a great alternative if you don’t do mohair. If you don't see a listing for the one you'd like, just send me a note.
Try a Sock Blank!
Each Crooked Kitchen sock blank is dyed individually and is one of a kind. Try one and make an awesome pair of socks (or anything, really).
How About a One-of-a-Kind Silk Scarf?
I love dyeing hand-woven mulberry silk scarves in yarn colourways for a truly unique and beautiful wearable art piece. See available items by searching on scarf or visit that section from the menu. If there's a colourway you love and you'd like to wear it on a scarf, send me a note.
Happy with Your Yarn? Satisfied with Your Experience? Have Feedback You'd Like to Share? Curious about Others' Experiences?
I would appreciate it if you would provide feedback by leaving a review. As I build up my presence under my own web domain, your testimony helps other shoppers who may not be familiar with my brand.
