POLLY 4-PLY: Approximately 100g/438 yards superwash Polwarth wool. This is fingering/sock weight yarn; a fine, strong four-ply base.

These were kettle-dyed an ever-so-slightly tonal pale warm beige/ecru with just a hint of a blush. Note: a different fingering base is pictured but accurately depicts the colourway.

Polwarth is a breed of sheep that is 75% Merino crossed with Lincoln. This is a lustrous, soft, sturdy yarn, shiny and slightly “crisp”. It is not as soft as Merino and a little more toothy. It drinks up colour in the dyepot!

While this is superwash, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.
